My economic development idea is...

A wine and tapas bar as an alternative to a bar style way to socialize and experience quality wines and tasty small plates

Plenty of small storefronts that could meet the imagination. Look what Wise Sons Deli did in the Mission on 24th!

I like the tenor of this idea - I agree it's hard to be so specific, but if we had a higher end restaurant that could serve more as a 'destination' restaurant - would that be a good thing? Look what Chez Panisse did for North Berkeley. Not sure if Brisbane residents want this, but it could certainly raise the profile and beautification of our town.

I would love a wine and tapas bar, too, but how is city council supposed to make something so specific happen? Would you like to open one?
